Why I'm Running
For too long, Orléans East-Cumberland has been shortchanged on investment while our communities have paid the price. Our quality of life is headed in the wrong direction and it's time to close the funding gap.
I'm running because I believe every corner of Ward 1 deserves a strong voice at City Hall. Government should work as hard as the people it serves and I'm ready to bring strong, new leadership to Orléans East-Cumberland.
As a mother, educator, and organizer I understand the importance of service to the community. I know that together we can build a stronger future for Orléans East-Cumberland. I didn't step into politics to watch from the sidelines. I stepped forward to bring a strong voice to City Hall and fight for our local priorities every single day.

Barbara will show up for Cumberland residents every single day, in times of need and at the budget table, bringing a strong voice to City Hall for our uniquely rural community in Ward 1.
Championing Francophone Culture And Community
Supporting our vibrant Franco-Ontarian heritage in Orléans East-Cumberland is essential to protecting the generations of advocacy and community building at the heart of the Francophone community.
Supporting French language education, expanding bilingual health services and infrastructure, supporting Francophone small business and advocating for dedicated cultural programming will ensure Francophone culture and community in Orléans East-Cumberland will continue to thrive for generations to come.

It's time for action, accountability and affordability in Ward 1. Barbara will fight to restore our local bus lines, expand affordable child care options for families, build stronger community engagement and work to bring an end to the unchecked, dangerous speeding on our local streets.
